Anyone know any yoga poses for period pains? It’s not bearable right now.

The noose and camel pose are supposed to help, as well as head to knee bends, bridges, downward facing dog or dolphin pose - there’s quite a number. I usually like child’s pose and downward facing dog best, but everyone’s different I think? Just normal ab exercises help me as well though, so maybe try some crunches or such.
My favourite yoga poses are the ones where I’m lying down with my eyes closed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
First post holiday season yoga class was tough 😱
My teachers legs were shaking in some poses and she almost fell over twice, a friendly reminder that we all struggle sometimes with practice!

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO BODY SHAPE, SIZE, ANYTHING THAT ISN’T RIGHT FOR YOGA. EVERY POSE CAN BE MODIFIED TO ANY BODY SHAPE. DO NOT USE YOUR BODY SHAPE AS AN EXCUSE TO NOT TRY SOMETHING NEW.
I’m sorry to shout, but this is a big deal. We have to stop obsessing over our bodies, guys. The only reason we don’t see more fat bellied yoga practitioners is because of clever white washed marketing tactics. Do not fall into the pool of bullshit that the media wants for you- ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR OWN STRENGTH AND RISE ABOVE.
So……yes. Yes, you can practice yoga. #answertime
This @aloyoga outfit 🙌🏻 💛 “Exercises are like prose, whereas yoga is the poetry of movements. Once you understand the grammar of yoga; you can write your poetry of movements.” - Amit Ray
“Oh, no way I’ll ever be able to hold my big legs and butt up, I’m too heavy. I used to say that in my head while practicing until one day… I felt a sense of strength I never felt before. I haven’t forgotten that feeling, and now it permeates everything in my life.” -Dana Falsetti | Photo@codyapp | Yogi@nolatrees
Sooo, I just need some healing and recovery time now and then I’m cleared to get back to doing any exercise I want 😊😊
For the next week or so my plan is to just go for walks daily and to eat as healthily as possible. I may try some very light yoga if that is possible - if not, there’s no rush. After that it’ll be yoga and pilates and hopefully I’ll be able to get back to lifting some light weights in about two weeks or so - I’ll play it by how I feel. Mostly excited to start running and boxing again once I can.
So here’s what’s to come for the blog (hopefully): daily food and workout logs, measurement updates (and possibly my weight - undecided about that for now) every week, possibly progress photos every so often and the usual mess of reblogged posts and complaints about my life.
